01 / About Sport
SPORT adds six sequential channels, peak-and-hold injector driving, onboard wideband control and electronic throttle capability. Its expanded analogue inputs suit installations needing more sensors than MINI, while Bluetooth supports compatible display and logging workflows.
Up to six fully sequential cylinders with six peak-and-hold injector outputs.
Built-in 400 kPa absolute MAP sensor.
8 MB internal logging plus MTune USB setup.
Peak-and-hold injection, onboard wideband and electronic throttle.

03 / Package contents
The actual supplied contents are confirmed in the itemized quote. Check the following items before payment.
Use the quote to check whether the ECU comes with a harness, tuning cable and documents or is supplied alone.
04 / Fitment & installation: MaxxECU Sport ECU
Check the model, hardware revision and connector pins against the device’s wiring diagram.
Use the exact ECU wiring diagram; verify every circuit for continuity and shorts before connecting power.
Use the wiring drawing for the exact ECU revision. Calibrate sensors, synchronise base ignition timing and verify injector dead time before loaded tuning.
Use the MTune trigger scope and timing-lock function to verify synchronisation and measured ignition timing before load calibration.
05 / Questions about Sport
The model has peak-and-hold outputs for high- and low-impedance injectors. Enter the correct peak / hold currents and injector calibration for the actual injectors.
Do not assume this. Their I/O and connector arrangements differ; match the harness part number and ECU revision.
No. SPORT has 8 MB of internal logging. Set the channels and triggers in MTune, record with the computer disconnected, then download the data for analysis.
SPORT supports electronic throttle, wideband and Bluetooth but has no internal knock input. A knock menu in MTune does not add that hardware to SPORT.
SPORT supports Bosch LSU 4.2 and 4.9. Select the actual sensor type in MTune and use its corresponding pinout.
Ignition outputs are 5 V logic signals for compatible igniters, CDI or coils with built-in power stages. They cannot directly drive a high-current coil primary.
USB provides MTune tuning; Bluetooth supports compatible MDash monitoring. Calibration editing and firmware operations require the appropriate software connection.
No. Internal logging has 8 MB and rates up to 1000 Hz; USB PC logging is 20 Hz. Configure channels and rates in MTune; sensor update speed also limits usable data rate.
The software function needs a supported ethanol-content signal and an allocated input, plus suitable fuel, ignition and starting calibrations. The feature listing does not mean an ethanol sensor is built into the ECU or included in every package.
MTune provides an ignition timing lock for comparison with a timing light. Match the commanded angle to the measured crank angle and verify trigger configuration before load tuning. A displayed RPM value alone does not prove correct ignition phasing.
Allocate the output by its documented driver type and current limit. Many GPO channels are low-side control outputs, not a general high-current power supply. Use a suitable relay or power driver when the load exceeds the channel rating, and keep sensor grounds separate from load returns.
Protection depends on the measured signal and configured thresholds. For example, oil/fuel-pressure or exhaust-temperature strategies need valid matching inputs, and lean protection needs a valid lambda signal. Configure error handling as well as the limit values.
No. The ECU supports CAN communication, but the dashboard or module must use a compatible protocol, bit rate and channel configuration. Check the device’s documented MaxxECU profile or configure the supported CAN messages; connector shape alone does not establish compatibility.
No. The internal wideband controller supports Bosch LSU 4.2 / 4.9. Select the correct sensor in software and use its matching pinout. Narrowband and other LSU sensors are not direct replacements.
No. SPORT has no internal dedicated EGT or knock inputs. EGT requires an external interface; extra temperature inputs do not replace thermocouple channels.
