Applicability
Unichip family principles; the catalog unit’s precise generation remains unverified.
Working with the factory ECU
Unichip changes selected signals while retaining the factory ECU program. Engine condition, the signal connections and the resulting calibration still need checking.
Editing versus loading a map
Editing changes calibration parameters; loading transfers an existing map. An interface that loads files may not allow editing. Use the controller version and interface documentation to establish which operation is supported.
Select pinout and software by generation
Q, Q+ and X do not share a universal pinout or software compatibility. Identify the generation, connectors and tuning interface before selecting wiring and software.
