Applicability
Link CAN Lambda and its specified compatible sensor; confirm ECU protocol support.
Role of the module
CAN Lambda controls a Bosch LSU 4.9 and transmits lambda and status over CAN. Connect the sensor to the dedicated module interface, not directly to CAN wires or an ordinary analogue input.
Power and sensor installation
Plan module and heater power according to the manual; ECU 5 V sensor reference is not a substitute. Follow LSU 4.9 temperature, orientation, condensation and exhaust-leak requirements.
CAN network and multiple modules
Match bitrate, receive protocol, identifiers and end termination. Give multiple modules distinct configuration identities to avoid message conflicts. Third-party ECUs need Link protocol support or configurable CAN; a CAN port alone is insufficient.
Warm-up, status and diagnosis
Check module and heater status before using lambda for closed-loop control. Diagnose power, sensor wiring, message reception and CAN configuration separately; one displayed AFR value cannot by itself identify a failed sensor.
