01 / About Monsoon
G4+ Monsoon uses a compact single A connector with four injector and four ignition outputs. Idle, boost and VVT functions are configured in PCLink G4+ within the available I/O. Wideband measurement requires an external controller.
G4+: 4 injector and 4 ignition outputs.
PCLink G4+ handles calibration and wiring help.
Compact A-connector layout with six auxiliary outputs.
Four 0–5 V inputs plus two temperature inputs.

04 / Fitment & installation: Link Monsoon ECU
Check the model, hardware revision and connector pins against the device’s wiring diagram.
Use the exact ECU wiring diagram; verify every circuit for continuity and shorts before connecting power.
Use PCLink G4+. Verify trigger synchronization and base timing, then allocate idle, boost and VVT outputs. This model has no throttle motor driver.
Install the matching PCLink USB drivers before the first connection, then complete the model-specific installer I/O table before powering actuators.
05 / Questions about Monsoon
No. Processor, logging, firmware and some I/O capabilities differ by generation. Check the label and use G4+ documentation for this item.
Record the hardware and firmware revisions, save the existing tune, and verify loom continuity and every sensor calibration. Connector fit alone does not prove a wiring or tune match.
G4+ Monsoon has four injector and four ignition outputs. Compatibility also depends on injection strategy, trigger pattern and retained vehicle functions.
G4+ Monsoon has no internal wideband controller or throttle motor driver. Oxygen and throttle-position inputs read signals; they cannot drive a sensor or throttle motor.
Use the G4+ branch of PCLink and its matching help and firmware compatibility notes. Link provides legacy downloads; the newest G5/G4X installer is not the default choice for G4+ hardware.
Press F1 in PCLink G4+ for wiring, ECU functions and software settings. G4+ and G4X use different software and wiring; select the controller’s generation.
Install the correct PCLink G4+ package and its USB drivers first. The guide warns that letting Windows assign an unrelated driver can prevent communication. After connection, check ECU identity, firmware compatibility and the saved calibration.
The analogue-voltage inputs accept 0–5 V signals. Even if a sensor uses an 8 V or 12 V supply, check that its output stays within 0–5 V and connect its signal ground to sensor ground.
No. Spare ignition outputs can serve switching auxiliary functions, but spare injector outputs cannot. A three-wire idle valve occupies Aux 1 and Aux 2 together, so reserve both channels.
Mount in a protected cabin location away from heat, water and ignition interference. Allow wiring and tuning access and isolate vibration; a metal case does not establish waterproofing.
The guide provides Trigger 1 and Trigger 2. Whether a cam/HOME signal is required depends on the selected trigger pattern and sequential strategy. Check the engine pattern and polarity in PCLink G4+ rather than assuming any RPM signal supplies cylinder phase.
No. The G4+ Monsoon quick-start guide assigns a three-wire idle solenoid to Aux 1 and Aux 2 together. Reserve both before allocating boost, VVT or other PWM loads.
