Can a F/IC6 loom be wired by wire colour alone?

No. Check the connector cavity number, circuit function and continuity. Repaired or aftermarket looms may not preserve original colours.

Are the FIC6 main harness and computer tuning cable the same accessory?

The main harness connects the controller to engine and vehicle circuits. The computer cable carries tuning communications; one cannot replace the other.

How many wires are in the FIC6 universal loom?

The F/IC6 universal harness layout has 46 unterminated wires. Check ECU pins, length and included accessories on a replacement, and wire the vehicle side for its application.

Is the original vehicle wiring diagram also needed to install the FIC6 main harness?

Use both the matching F/IC6 diagram and the vehicle circuit diagram. The installer must distinguish tapped sensor circuits from intercepted injector and timing circuits, then verify each connection.
