Main harnessFIC6 Harness
FIC6 main harness for connecting the corresponding controller to the engine management system. Termination type and supplied items are confirmed in the quote.
Controller
FIC6 piggyback controller for tuning projects that retain the factory ECU.
Reference prices vary with exchange rates and the supplied package. Contact customer service to confirm the price, shipping and taxes.
01 / About FIC6
F/IC6 works alongside the factory ECU, intercepting 6 injector signals and correcting selected sensor signals. Its ignition table retards timing; it does not advance timing or provide standalone ignition control.
Six intercepted injector channels retain the factory ECU.
Six 21 × 17 maps cover fuel, ignition retard and sensor correction.
Internal 64 KB logging with adjustable sampling.
Two calibrations selected through the user-switch input.

03 / Package contents
The actual supplied contents are confirmed in the itemized quote. Check the following items before payment.
Ask whether the price covers the main loom, USB cable, MAP hose and bypass plug, or the controller alone.
04 / Fitment & installation: AEM FIC6 Controller
Check the model, hardware revision and connector pins against the device’s wiring diagram.
Use the exact ECU wiring diagram; verify every circuit for continuity and shorts before connecting power.
Keep the factory ECU connected. Identify parallel signal taps and intercepted circuits, then check crank / cam signal polarity and the input-to-output direction of each injector circuit.
Connect the internal MAP hose to a manifold-pressure port after the throttle body. Check for leaks and keep the hose clear of heat and sharp bends.
05 / Questions about FIC6
No. F/IC ignition tables accept negative correction to retard timing, not advance it.
The universal flying-lead loom requires vehicle-specific wiring. A matching patch harness and bypass plug are separate package checks.
FIC6 works with the factory ECU by modifying selected injector and sensor signals. It is a piggyback controller; the original ECU and its required vehicle functions remain part of the installation.
FIC6 uses absolute manifold pressure. Boost gauge pressure is manifold absolute pressure minus local atmospheric pressure; the two readings must not be used interchangeably.
Install the F/IC software and USB driver, power the controller correctly and connect a compatible USB data cable. If connection fails, check device detection in the operating system before troubleshooting the tuning software.
Yes. Internal logging has 64 KB of memory and 10–1275 ms intervals. Logging starts when the configured trigger and user-switch conditions are met; download the result through F/IC software.
In normal logging mode, all FIC Logger trigger conditions must be met and the user-switch input must be grounded. In dual-calibration mode, the logging trigger input is enabled by default, but the configured logging conditions still apply.
Changing the user switch while connected interrupts F/IC communication. Select the A / B calibration first, then connect, edit or upload the matching map.
In closed loop, the factory ECU can compensate for the change using its own fuel trims. Monitor those trims with an OBD scanner alongside measured lambda, and check how fuel and O2 corrections interact before making further changes.
No. psia is absolute pressure, including atmospheric pressure. The 2–40 psia range is about 0.14–2.76 bar absolute; subtract local atmospheric pressure to obtain gauge boost.
No. F/IC6 SW12 high-side output is limited to 6 A; F/IC8 is limited to 1 A. Use each model’s limits and pinout; injector-driver limits are separate.
No. Tap circuits read signals in parallel; intercept circuits require separate input and output connections after cutting the original circuit. Check direction, trigger polarity, continuity and shorts for each circuit.
